Bavaria Bok Bier

Cheers to autumn with
Bavaria’s seasonal Bok Bier.

The challenge: In Amsterdam and neighbouring cities, Bavaria faces low quality perception.
To re-establish the brand’s heritage and perception of brewing excellence Bavaria has created
a new seasonal Bok Bier, the first of hopefully many more to come.

The solution: Bavaria’s 78-year-old advertising poster was a great inspiration for the new Bok
Bier design. We used a historical mascot and poster inspired typography to create the new
packaging design that celebrates Bavaria’s heritage. Bok Bier was awarded bronze at the
prestigious 2014 Bock Beer festival in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.

The deliverables: concept development, product line extension design strategy, 2D
packaging design. Region: The Netherlands.
